Spring has been a moody one. Wind, rain, sun, snow/hail, big puffy white clouds, darkness, sun. The season can't make up its mind. Spring break came and went in a flash with a quick week at home and then the other week in Boston for our conference presentation. We got to spend some time with family, make some homemade pizza dough, play outside with the annual cherry blossoms and refresh some of the dusty corners of the house.
In the crafting department: New pillows! Such an easy way to add some change. I love this material and I'm half tempted to make outfits that match the throw pillows...I've resisted the urge so far...

Hyacinths how I love thee...

Old favorites...

One of the best parts of a wedding...sampling foods and desserts. Below Trophy Cupcake's variety of samples. What is amazing is this is for one person. Gulp....yes we did! Favorites include the lemon, vanilla-vanilla and snickerdoodle tie, red velvet, and our ultimate favorite: triple coconut.

We also checked out this in 3D...for $14.50 a person! Wowza.

I still think the Cheshire Cat is my favorite in any version of this story.
I'm still on a Julia Child kick in the reading department. I finished this:

And now I'm making my way through this...

Ry and I have been on a steady dinner diet of a variety of cheeses (local small farm goat cheese and camembert), crostini crackers, fig jam, olives, almonds, and wine. We can't stop having it for dinner. It is our homemade happy hour. Nothing else sounds quite as good.
We also polished off Season 3 of Madmen.

Ah yes, the good life.
